I have a 60-day Visa for Thailand and I plan to make the most of it. Since I’m coming from Malaysia I’m working my way from the south to the north. Which seems to be the opposite of everyone else I’ve met.

The Islands

Thailand has a lot of islands to choose from. For the most part I have stuck to the well worn trail on Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket, Koh Pha-Ngan and Koh Tao.

Island Hopping in Thailand
My first two weeks in the country have been sun, sand and sea.

Koh Pha-Ngan’s Full Moon Party: Tips for a fun and safe night.
The world’s most infamous party. Make the best of your night and wake up with only the hangover to worry about.

The Mainland

Thailand is a pretty big country and it takes quite a long time to get around which is why I decided it would be better not to go to too many places and just stay a bit longer. I visited Khao Sok, Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai, and Sukhothai.

Khao Sok National Park
Beautiful and out of the way. Sadly I didn’t get to enjoy it.

The Scams of Khao San Road
The unfortunate side of tourism in Bangkok.

A Lazy Week in Bangkok
Some people pack more into a weekend in this city than I did in a week.

Erawan Falls in Pictures
I can’t aptly describe the beauty of this area in words.

Learning About Massage in Chiang Mai
I was stuck in Chiang Mai for two weeks which gave me the perfect opportunity to take the massage course on my bucket list.

A Day at Elephant Nature Park
If you’re looking for an ethical way to see the elephants in Thailand this is where you should go.

Why you shouldn’t do a Chiang Rai day trip
At least not the ones from Chiang Mai anyway.

Cycling Sukhothai
A whole day of exploring the Thai countryside and learning about the local people.
